The Hubei Association, through the Chinese Australian COVID‑19 Action Coalition (CALAC), donated three medical oxygen concentrators to Austin Hospital.

Due to government pandemic control regulations at the time, the donation ceremony could not be held inside the hospital. After multiple discussions between CALAC spokesperson Dr. Jianguo Zhang and Austin Hospital, it was agreed that the handover would take place outside the main entrance of the hospital.

At 2:30 p.m. on 23 April, Debbie Hill, Director of the Austin Hospital Fundraising Department, attended the ceremony on time, accompanied by Respiratory Department doctors Tom Churchwood and Ye Ke. On-site, she signed the donation agreement with representatives of the Australia Hubei Association.
